The Wagenfeld WG 27 Table Lamp is designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld and made by Tecnolumen. An optical proximity of the WG 27 table lamp for so-called Bauhaus design is unmistakable. And no surprise, we know about the career of its designer. For the later Professor of Fine Arts Wilhelm Wagenfeld spent the years of his time as a journeyman at his obviously influential Bauhaus workshop in Weimar. The skills acquired there he honed in the following years and so developed the WG 27 in a kind experimentalism process. Wilhelm Wagenfeld created in the 1930s a series of table and floor lamps with synthetic shades which were based on his famous Bauhaus table lamps. Table lamp Tecnolumen Wagenfeld WG 27 stands out with its intricately designed lamp shade: the large cone-shaped shade is connected at the bottom to a cylindrical element. It is made from heat-resistant plastic covered with white fabric.
