It is our passion for object that led us to create DCW. Objects which are companions to our daily existence that is reliable, honest, carefully through and perfect crafted. Bernard-Albin Gras was one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. The functional aesthetic of his lamps and especially the design of such detail as those of the arms, stems, brackets and bases were truly original and far ahead of his time. There are neither screws nor welded joints in the basic form.

Le Cobusier, along with other designers of the time, was seduced by the modern design + user-friendliness of the lamps. He used the GRAS lamps both in his own offices and in numerous architectural projects worldwide. For the first time in history, a lamp was equally popular in professional as well as in residential application. The lamps are model of balance, elegance + transparency.

Today, the GRAS lamp has become sought after as a collector’s item all over the world + has become an icon in the history of lighting. Bernard-Albin Gras’s talented and visionary design has proven to be timeless. We are delighted to welcome a select range from La Lampe Gras to the LUKE offering.
