Gonzalo Milà was born in 1967. He studied architecture in Barcelona and started working at interior and industrial design studio of Miguel Milá (his father), and also collaborated with Luis Victory, with whom he won the 2nd Castilla-La Mancha furniture award for Arragón Espiga clothes stand.
He set up the Milá Diseño studio in 1996, along with his father and sister. They created some outstanding projects like the reconstructing an antique apartment in Gaudí’s Pedrera, and the series of lamps Rama (2000-2004), they also won ADI-FAD Delta de Plata award in 2001.
Milà joined the Urban Division of Santa & Cole, where he was responsible for production and edition. In 2001, he decided to go out on his own in order to pursue his true passion: furniture design.
