Tolomeo Mega Floor Lamp

Artemide make beautiful products. The original award winning Tolomeo desk lamp was conceived in 1986 and is a timeless symbol of high design. The lamp even has a Wikipedia page and constantly features in movies, even to this day. I recently saw such lamps appear in the films ‘Body of Lies’ and ‘The Intern’ for example. I own several examples of Tolomeo including several Tolomeo Tables, a Tolomeo Maxi, and now a Tolomeo Mega. They are all beautiful products, that are extremely well built and most importantly, functional. The Tolomeo Mega is no exception to this. It is a large and imposing lamp that, along with its heavy counterweighted base, appears to defy gravity when positioned at certain angles. It is provided with a dimming function and can be mated with a variety of shades that come in different colours and diameters. For me, this is a purchase with no regrets. I highly recommend that others dive into the world of Tolomeo and see for themselves why these lamps have remained popular for the last 34 years.
